To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to recommend ATG Sports Industries to anyone interested in installing track or artificial turf surfaces.  We at Hutchinson Community College chose the ATG Sports “SuperTurf” artificial grass product for several reasons, of many I will discuss; however, at the end of the day we agreed that we were simply getting the best in turf quality and installation from a Kansas company with a very good reputation. 

When researching artificial turf products, I would suggest making onsite visits to all the different companies’ products you are considering, preferably on the same day.  They should all look good and at first impression there will seem to only be slight differences, but a closer look will show there is more.  I have been playing and coaching football for 24 years and have become very familiar with the several types of turf.  Both the feel and playability of SuperTurf is very much like natural grass when grass is under optimum conditions.  This system we choose is an all rubber infill which was important to me.  When compared to sand/rubber infill products I have seen and my teams have played on, SuperTurf is not near as hard and has a much better playability than sand/rubber turf systems.  The sand granules are causing players to get “burns” again and this just does not happen with SuperTurf.

ATG Sports also introduced a new type of drain system on our field which has been exceptional. There has never been any water ponding on the surface, not even during a Kansas down-pour.  We did not lose any practice opportunities t his year which has provided Hutchinson Community College the ability to use it every day regardless of weather or time of year.

In closing, ATG Sports did exactly what they said they would, and in a timely fashion.  We could not be happier with our playing field and track at Hutchinson Community College.  I really don’t feel there is a better looking or playing field in the state.
