Springfield Public Schools (MO) has awarded ATG Sports the Hillcrest HS and Parkview HS Turf Infield Project. The project will begin immediately and anticipated completion is scheduled for late July 2017.
Scott Wendt, Director of Custodial and Grounds, states, “Springfield Public Schools is excited to put artificial turf on two of our baseball infields. This will allow us to use these fields as dual purpose fields for both baseball and softball. The High School sites selected do not have softball fields, and due to space limitations this combination field approach is the ideal solution for our District. We know our students will greatly benefit from these projects.”
Hillcrest HS and Parkview HS will feature high performance RamTurf Baseball, which is formulated specifically to mimic the play of a well maintained natural baseball field. RamTurf Baseball is a high use product that combines high face weight, UV resistant fibers, and the latest tufting technology. RamTurf Baseball features parallel long fibrillated fibers and dense texturizes fibers to provide an extremely durable turf that optimizes ball roll and minimize infill movement. The turf system utilizes ArmorLoc 3L primary backing and Silverback secondary coating to deliver the world’s strongest turf backing system.
